NHaK helps Masque Sound expand their brand beyond it`s roots in Broadway

Masque Sound was founded in 1936 to produce sound effects recordings (on 78rpm records at the time) for Broadway musicals and plays. Today, Masque Sound is the leading provider of sound equipment for Broadway shows, and continues to adopt leading edge technologies advancing live sound reinforcement. Recent productions include, The Phantom Of The Opera, Les Miserables, Tommy, Rent, Mamma Mia, and Aida.

However, Masque Sound goes beyond Broadway, providing sound for television productions, sporting event shows, corporate events, special events, live concerts, and conventions.

Nhak’s objective was to rebrand and reposition Masque Sound to present this well established sound company as more than just Broadway, upgrading their corporate image and message into Concert, Corporate, Broadcast, Event and Convention sound and production.

At the outset, Nhak focused on the corporate and divisional naming strategy and developed a new tagline. The Masque Sound logo had a long history dating back to the 1930s, so the company requested only minor edits.

As Nhak established a new message, it was important to downplay the Broadway focus as Masque looked to build their presence in Corporate, Event, Sports, and Concerts. Nhak created a sales kit, including a brochure and one sheets inside a custom presentation folder, a new website and an email marketing newsletter template. Each new division of the company had their own section on the website, a promotional one-sheet, and a page in the brochure.

Nhak continues to provide marketing and advertising support for Masque as they build their brand outside their core Broadway market, and look to new opportunities in DVD production, new media, wireless technologies, and beyond.
